Today I just wanted to share a little bit on what’s going on over here in Central Alberta and how I’m prepping for the pageant! It’s such an exciting time and I can’t wait to reunite with all my Alberta girls, and meet all my other Canadian pageant sisters!

My main focus these past few days has been to prepare the final touches… practicing and breaking into my heels, packing, keeping everyone updated via social media, etc. I feel like when we are preparing for something big, something important that means to us, we can go extreme in prepping and possibly over worrying. We develop doubts and start to wonder if we are really good enough to do what we want to do.

My message is this: we can always prepare, and get ready extensively.  Often before something significant, I’ve found myself in the past over worrying and constantly thinking I needed to go to an extreme to be prepared… But to be honest, at certain point, you just need to have faith. You need to have faith that you’ve done everything in your power to prepare yourself, and to get ready for whatever it is you’re doing. You need to have faith that you have been practicing and you’re ready for whatever it is you want to accomplish, and whatever life is about to throw at you.
Once you’ve accepted that you’ve done every single thing you can do be the best version of yourself, the final thing you need to do is have faith. When I say this many people don’t believe me, they say that the more you prep, the more you practice, the better you’ll be. And that is 100% true…. but, once you’ve done that, you can’t tire and stress yourself out. You need to believe that everything will workout the way it should and there is nothing more you can do.

Simply have faith and believe in the process and believe in what you are capable of doing. I am not talking about the pageant specifically, I am talking about life in general. I used to hurt myself mentally so tremendously by pushing limits to the extreme, and that really hurt not only my mental health, but my well being too!

What I am trying to say here is have faith and believe in you. Because your mindset can control so much and affect several outcomes. I believe in you and so should you. I really hope you are all doing well and getting excited, as I sure am!

Stay well,
