Day 2: Kindness Journey to Miss Teenage Canada!

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait, it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”- Joyce Meyer.

Patience is today’s lesson while we drove over 12 hours straight all the way to Dryden, Ontario. Today I learned how a patient heart waits and responds at the proper moment, this is one of the nine elements of truly living a life of kindness. We had to sit through a lot of traffic through the province of Manitoba, while we were sitting in this traffic I started thinking about patience and how it ties into kindness…

Finally made it to Ontario!

Planting kindness rocks across Canada!

I discovered by being patient we can make better decisions. Patience is the pause that helps us get our thoughts back in order and our feelings under control. Overall I learned that by being patient we are being kind to ourselves by finding inner peace and taking care of our mindset. As Steve Maraboli once said, “Once your mindset changes, everything on the outside will change along with it.” Next time you are stuck in traffic I challenge you to think about this, and how you are going to be kind to yourself by breathing instead of blowing up and getting frustrated with the world around you. This will ensure we are taking care of our minds and loving ourselves. So roll down those windows, turn up that music, and live in the moment in pure bliss!

Hello Winnipeg!

While we were on the road I got to continue spreading my message of kindness through my¬†Spreading Kindness Rocks project. Tonight we will be staying at the Riverview lodge where we just had a fabulous supper, the Riverview Lodge is definitely one of the Gems we found along our journey. 10/10 would recommend the service, food, history, and home feeling is overwhelming and is definitely a must-stop place! I hope to one day return again to this beautiful place. This is definitely not a goodbye but a ‘see you soon!’

Having some really good dessert at the Riverview Lodge!
