Hello world! Let me just say first of all how honoured and excited I am to be your new Miss Teen Alberta-World. I can not wait to be able to represent my city of Edmonton at the national pageant in July! Just a little bit of information to get to know me; I am 17 years young, a senior in high school and very ready to graduate.
I have always had a love of performing, acting, dancing, and singing (in the shower, and not well) and will take any opportunity I can have to be in the spotlight. I have taken many acting and modelling courses and have acted in short films and despite my height, I love being in front of a camera. I have taken a range of dance lessons that include ballet, jazz, hip hop, belly dancing and modern. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to an arts centred Jr. High School where I took art, video studies, drama, and dance which really helped me find out what I was truly interested in. Art has always had a great influence in my life and I have always been interested in the effects it has on different people. From a very young age I would draw, paint and try to find beauty in everyday life.
DSquared Spring/Summer Runway, in love with the shoes!
My Beautiful Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran Hobo
I am very interested in the fashion industry and I aspire to become a fashion public relations person in the future. I have always believed that if you look good you will feel good, and I believe that Stacy and Clinton on “What Not To Wear” would agree with me on that. Fabulous designers like Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Jeffrey Campbell, and DSquared2 have made such a positive outcome on me and my personal style. Appearance will always be an important part of my life and I will always have pride in what I look like. Although I do find importance on my looks, what will always be more significant in my life is being a good and wholesome human being and treating everyone equally and just.
Volunteering and philanthropy is a very large part of my life and I hope it always will be. I strongly have the belief that when you do good things for other people, you get more than you give. Since my crowning on January 27th, 2013, I have been involved in many charitable events including the Hair Massacure, YouCan Youth Services Comedy Night, The 2nd Annual beautiful ME event, and the Easter Seals/Special Olympics Umbrella Decorating Contest. The feeling of giving back to something greater than yourself is undeniably the greatest feeling that everyone should experience, but sadly there is much ignorance in the world especially with the youth of today. “Free The Children” is an incredible organization about youth helping other youth. It is a global movement about young people being agents of change and helping them to achieve their fullest potential all around the world. I want to make a difference in my generation and leave a positive impact for the youth of tomorrow.
I have to thank all my sponsors so far that are helping and supporting my endeavours in my hopes to become Miss Teen Canada-World 2013. West Edmonton Mall, Fred Katz Photography, Hatzafon, Kudos for Wood Furniture, Legal Family Crisis Clinic, Galfour Development Corp., and Karen Christian, thank you so much for all the much appreciated encouragement.
Thanks to everyone who have helped me get to where I am today. Keep updated on all my undertakings as Miss Teen Alberta-World here on my blog, or on my Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/missteenalbertaworld2013, or on my Twitter at https://twitter.com/MissTeenAB2013.
