This week has gone by in a flash and now it’s time for the curtains to close, to say goodbye to my sisters, catch our flights, leave our dream and enter the reality of our real life. This week has been so surreal and I am so extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to Ontario, compete for the title of Miss Teenage Canada, and meet all these amazing people in the process. I have to admit that when I first got here, I felt extremely intimidated and nervous, but everyone was so extremely welcoming and supportive from the first minute this week started. There`s lots of stigma and stereotypes when it comes to pageants, but I am here to tell you that all of that is false. The girls here are not bratty or rude or egotistical, they are the most supporting, kind individuals I have ever met in my life. To my pageant sisters, thank you for giving me the chance to get to know all of you. Whatever happens tonight just know that I will always be there for you. Thank you for being there for me all week, for those hugs in times when I felt lost and alone, for those late night chats, and for all the amazing laughs. I can honestly say that I have laughed this week more than I have in the past few months. To Marc, Samie, and Emma thank you so much for being such amazing chaperons and role models for all of the delegates. And for being patient with us, cause I know we are extremely annoying and a lot of work. Thank you for all the laughs and inside jokes that we all now have, and just for being so supportive to each and every one of us throughout the week.. To MTC-w staff, organisers and to Michelle Weswaldi, thank you for giving me and my sisters this opportunity and for organising this event because it takes a lot of planning and preparation to pull off something like this. And last of all to my family, friends, community and province of Alberta, thank you so much for your continuous support, votes and donations to help me get to where I am today! We’re just a few short hours away from finals and me and my pageant sisters couldn’t be more excited! Stay tuned on all my social media to see how the night goes.
